Individuals
A successful therapeutic process requires consistency, focus, and energy. Crises, such as addiction and violent relationships, must first be addressed prior to beginning a more depth-oriented process. I have experience helping people find the resources to address these issues. Once stability has been achieved, we can start working with dreams, art, synchronicities, and insights to transform the lead of psychological suffering into the gold of becoming more fully yourself. I think of this as stillness, grounding, and rejuvenation which comes from feeling anchored in something greater than myself.
Couples Therapy
I welcome partnerships in which each person recognizes the importance of doing their own work as essential to the co-creation of more loving relationships.
Family Therapy
My approach to family therapy draws on the theory that people inherit intergenerational patterns from their ancestors which show up in the form of symptoms such as depression and anger. Working from this perspective, I try to facilitate a family therapy process whereby understanding these symptoms in a new light becomes a way of bringing the love in families out of hiding.
Groups
I organize groups with a maximum of 8 members which run for three month intervals. Each group is 90 minutes in duration and meets on a weekly basis. Groups require the regular participation of all members to be successful. I ask that members make a commitment to the group in the second meeting.
I currently run a group for people over 65 focused on finding meaning in the aging process.
Inspired by my research into the unconscious roots of the climate crisis, I am currently developing climate support groups.
Please contact me if you are interested in taking part in either of these groups.
Supervision
I offer consultation to therapists who are interested in bringing a depth perspective to their work. Please note that depth therapy is only ethical with clients who are not actively in crisis.
